Todays environment plays an integral role in the development of my work. People, places and things from everyday life provide a rich source of materials from which to draw on. Popular culture, current events, relationships between people, social commentary, art history and Hispanic culture highlight some of the topics that I examine. The cast of characters I use in my work confront everyday issues with a surreal twist from my imagination. My aim is to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
